Who is B&K Instruments?

B&K Instruments are built in Sherman CT by Frank Brocklehurst and
Joseph Keneally. Our instruments were created out of a frustration
with the current state of instrument design. The first area that needs
improvement is that of quality fractional size instruments for children
or people of short stature. Nobody seems to care about this area of
the market. There are also numerous custom built instrument
makers appearing that are just rehashing old designs without
bringing anything new to the table. We really wanted to offer
something that was very progressive but still offered a hand built
feel. Every aspect of our instruments has been thought about and
improved.

B&K Instruments is very proud to
add Michael O'Mara as one of our
players. Michael is a local teacher and
Working Musician ( he's also one hell
of a Fisherman). You can catch Michael
playing with his own Jazz trio and also
with the Steve Gregory band. Check
out his six string bass in the gallery
page.
B&K Instruments is Honored to
have Veteran Bass player Steve
Clarke playing one of our basses.
Maple fingerboard, Aguilar 18v
preamp, Spalted maple top, Ash and
Alder body and most important for
Steve left handed! Check Steve out
on his my space or face book page.
Also at Hop n bop records.

Chris Cavalier has joined us at
B&K ( and we are very flattered
by that ). Chris wanted a unique
Guitar to Match his very original
style of music. So after much
reserch and experimenting we
came up with a hybrid Archtop for
him.
